The pitch at Eden Gardens in Kolkata was lively and England’s fast bowlers made Indian batsmen work hard for their runs. The newly laid surface at Eden Gardens is very different from what it was before. Earlier, it used to be a slow rank turner, but now it has become a surface that has more bounce and offer some kind of assistance to both, fast bowlers and spinners.
India once again lost early wickets and Yuvraj Singh came in to bat at number 4 in the 6th over of India’s innings. Yuvraj had to struggle early on in his innings as England’s fast bowlers exploited the conditions and made Indian batsmen work hard for their runs.
In the 10th over, which was bowled by Jake Ball, Yuvraj Singh he was hit by bouncer on his chest. It was a nasty blow as Yuvraj’s bat came off and he walked away from the pitch. Watch it here:
