England defeated New Zealand in their second match of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 and became the first team to qualify for the semi-final round of the tournament. England, after defeating Bangladesh in their opening match, gave a clinical performance against the Blackcaps and registered a 87-run win at Cardiff.

England were asked to bat first and they responded brilliantly to it. Although they lost Jason Roy early in the innings but Alex Hales and Joe Root steadied the ship and formed a good partnership. But, despite their good effort, England were struggling to reach the 300-mark.

But, the fire power in their lower-middle order made it possible. All-rounder Ben Stokes counter attacked and scored 8 quick runs. But it was Jos Buttler’s 48-ball 61 knock that helped England cross the 300 runs mark.

One of Buttler’s most outrageous strokes came in the 46th over. He picked Trent Boult’s delivery brilliantly and dispatched it over the wicketkeepers head, almost on the cameraman on the platform at the River Taff End.

Although the outrageous stroke from Jos Buttler was brilliant to watch for the fans in stadium and all those watching on television sets, the cameraman was lucky enough not to sustain an injury. It was a very narrow escape for him. Watch it here:
