Video: Kavya Maran’s Childlike Celebration As Rohit Sharma Gets Dismissed – Mumbai Indians stirred up the  world by reclaiming Hardik Pandya from Gujarat Titans ahead of IPL 2024, appointing him as the new skipper, succeeding Rohit Sharma. This move, however, left Rohit Sharma devotees and loyal MI supporters dismayed, feeling a sense of disrespect toward their beloved captain. The backlash against Pandya was there, with vehement objections echoing.

In the inaugural clash of IPL 2024 against Gujarat Titans, Pandya found himself in the crosshairs of Rohit Sharma loyalists, enduring a barrage of boos and jeers from the crowd in Ahmedabad. The incident showed the towering stature Rohit Sharma has attained within the Mumbai Indians fraternity.

Despite a promising start, Mumbai Indians stumbled in their pursuit, succumbing to Gujarat Titans’ onslaught from a commanding position during the chase. Now, facing Sunrisers Hyderabad in their next encounter in Hyderabad, the stakes were high, especially as it marked Rohit Sharma’s milestone 200th IPL match for Mumbai Indians.

Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, Hardik Pandya’s side soon found themselves in disarray against the relentless onslaught of SRH’s batsmen. Travis Head’s blistering knock of 62 off 24 balls set the tone, with Abhishek Sharma’s explosive 63 off 23 balls amplifying the onslaught. Markram and Klaasen further compounded MI’s misery, propelling Sunrisers Hyderabad to a staggering total of 277 runs, eclipsing the IPL’s previous highest total.

In response, Mumbai Indians launched a valiant chase, but fell short despite spirited contributions from Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Naman Dhir, Tilak Varma, and Tim David. Hardik Pandya, however, failed to leave a mark with the bat, managing only 24 runs off 20 balls. The 31-run deficit underscored the enormity of the challenge posed by SRH’s imposing target, leaving Mumbai Indians grappling with a bitter defeat.

During the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, Kavya Maran, the CEO of Sunrisers Hyderabad, displayed an animated reaction to Rohit Sharma’s dismissal. As Rohit fell, Kavya Maran sighed with relief and celebrated like a child, jumping and shouting in jubilation. Her exuberant reaction highlighted the significance of the wicket for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
