One of the liveliest cricketers on the field is undoubtedly the former Indian captain and legend MS Dhoni. While he no longer holds the reins, he is still always available to provide encouragement to the bowlers and fielders and advice captain Kohli from behind the stumps. On many occasions, the stump mics have caught Dhoni’s comments and even in the second ODI against the Kiwis, Dhoni was at his vocal best.

When Kedar Jadhav was bowling, Dhoni’s voice was booming from behind the stumps as he guided him to stick to the same line. He also provided Kohli with fielding suggestions as he was standing at long-on. Some of his comments included:

Bahut Badiyaa…, Cheeku do-teen Jan Ko Idhar Chod de (MSD to Virat), Yaha Sey Karna De Joh Karna Hey (MSD to Kedar Jadhav), Yeh ball Acha Hey Iske Liye Beech Beech Mey, Har Theesra ball Ek Dal Sakta Hai (To Kedar on Latham), Bahut Badiya, Kedu (Kedar), Bahut Badiya, DK (Dinesh Karthik).

Bahut Badiya, Theek Hai Daltha Rahey (To Kedar while bowling to Nicholls), EK Baar Karengey Phir Dimaag Mey Ghusta Hai, Daal They hi Rahna ( To Kedar), Cheeku, EK ball Aur Rakhega Ek ball Joh Pehley Raka Tha Mein catch key Liye (To Virat Kohli during the over).

While he no longer captains the side, his valuable inputs from behind the stumps definitely encourages fielders and also puts them at ease.
