MS Dhoni played a brilliant match-winning knock against West Indies in the third One Day International (ODI) of the ongoing 5-match series between West Indies and India. Dhoni came in to bat when India were in a spot of bother after losing three quick wickets. Dhoni, not only held one end up, but kept the scoreboard ticking by rotating the strike and hitting boundaries at regular intervals.

Dhoni was undr a lot of pressure to do well and he delivered at the right time. India needed to win the match to take a 2-0 lead in the series. It wasn’t an easy wicket to bat as there was dual bounce and the ball was gripping and stopping after pitching. But, Dhoni showed good technique, concentration and shot-selection, and took India to a respectable total, which, later turned out to be too good for the host nation.

In the 47th over of Indian innings, MS Dhoni played a shot that surprised everyone who watched it. Dhoni moved across the stumps and whacked the ball over square leg boundary for a six. Dhoni’s biggest strength as a power hitter is his ability to keep his head steady while hitting big sixes.

While playing that shot, Dhoni moved across the off stump and whacked the ball with all his might. Holder was consistently bowled outside off, with a pack off-side field and to negotiate that, Dhoni played this spectacular stroke. Watch it here:
