MS Dhoni scored just 6 runs in the first match of the ongoing One Day International (ODI) series between India and England. Dhoni came in to bat at number 5 and mistimed a pull shot straight into the hands of Jacob Ball.

After stepping down from limited-overs captaincy, many, including Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh, believe that Dhoni will bat more freely and play like he used to when he had long brown hair.

Ahead of the second ODI, MS Dhoni was seen practicing big hits in the nets. Dhoni will play at number 5 in this series and his job will be to up the anti and finish the innings for India. There is no doubt regarding Dhoni’s ability for this job, but many believe that he has passed his prime and hitting the ball right from the word go will not be as easy as it was some 4 years ago.
