MS Dhoni was felicitated by Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) during the 3rd ODI of the ongoing series between India and England, at Eden Gardens for his contribution as India’s limited-overs captain. CAB had announced before the start of the series that they will honour one of greatest captains ever.
CAB President and former Indian captain Kapil Dev honoured Dhoni during the match. But the best moment came when MS Dhoni walked out to bat after Virat Kohli’s wicket. Dhoni came in to bat at number 5 and the packed crowd at Eden Gardens stoop up to applause the champion. Eden Gardens is one of the biggest stadium in India and the atmosphere there was electrifying when Dhoni came out to bat.
Even though Virat Kohli, India’s best batman in ODI cricket, was dismissed, the crowd still couldn’t stop themselves from welcoming their former captain. Dhoni received a grand reception as Eden Garden erupted with joy. Watch it here:
