IPL 2017: The Rising Pune Supergiant is a team on the up and is almost certain to make it to the play-offs stage. Steven Smith, the captain has led the team admirably and has mixed up his resources in the right manner to get the best out of everyone. Now playing in one of their last matches for the tournament versus the Delhi Daredevils, the team is still pulling out moments of magic.
Case in point for this is MS Dhoni, the legendary Indian batsman and keeper who plays for the RPS. Marlon Samuels, the West Indian batsman got a short slower one from Dan Christian and was looking for the big heave on the on-side.
However, because he read the ball wrong, he mistimed his shot and it went behind him and looked certain to go above the keeper.
Dhoni however, had other plans. He timed his jump to perfection and caught the ball in his right hand, similar to a football goal-keeper pushing the ball above the bar. The wicket will go down as one of the best catches taken in the IPL and the Delhi crowd would have been really happy to see the catch by one of the most popular players in the country. Watch it here:
