VIDEO: Ravindra Jadeja’s brilliant catch to dismiss Jonny Bairstow

India’s all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja gave an all-round performance in the fifth Test of the recently concluded series between India and England. He scored an important quick-fire fifty with the bat in the first innings and took seven wickets just for 48 in the second innings. The fifth Test in Chennai will always be remembered for Karun Nair’s triple-hundred, but Jadeja played a very crucial role in the win for India.

Apart from his batting and bowling, Jadeja also contributed in the field by taking a very important catch to dismiss Jonny Bairstow. It was a very important catch because Bairstow is in very good form and he presence in the middle could have made a big difference in the end.

Jonny Bairstow played a good flick shot towards square leg and Jadeja, who was standing inside the circle, sprinted backwards and ended up taking one of the finest catches we will ever see. Jadeja’s catch reminded us of Kapil Dev’s catch in 1983 World Cup to dismiss Sir Viv Richards. Watch it here:
