Ravindra Jadeja is a street smart bowler who uses his ‘limited skills’ brilliantly to trouble batsmen, specially in Asian conditions. Jadeja is not a very big turner of the ball but he keeps things very simple in the middle and bowls a very consistent wicket-to-wicket line with subtle changes in speed and length.

Over the years, Jadeja has very worked very hard on his bowling and now he is a very important member of India’s bowling unit, across all three formats of the game. In the ongoing 4-match Test series between India and Australia, Jadeja has been India’s best bowler so far.

In the first innings of the ongoing second Test match at Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore, Jadeja showed great presence of mind and skills to dismiss Australia’s opening batsman Matt Renshaw. In the 67th over, Renshaw charged down the wicket to counter turn, but Jadeja saw him coming and bowled wide down the leg and India’s wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha did well behind the stumps to collect the ball and disturb the timber.
