Ravindra Jadeja is one of the most important members of India’s Test squad. He is Ravichandran Ashwin’s spin partner and bowls very economical long spells, specially in home conditions.
In the first innings of the ongoing fourth Test, Ravindra Jadeja bowled a brilliant delivery to dismiss England’s captain Alastair Cook. It was the second ball of Ravindra Jadeja’s first over and Alastair Cook came down the tracks and tried to dispatch it over the long on for a six. But, Jadeja got good purchase from the wicket and beat Cook in the flight and India’s wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel did the rest behind the stumps.
Alastair Cook was looking good until that moment but Jadeja’s good line and length tricked him and bagged the important wicket of England captain. Cook also completed his 2000 Test runs against India and this number shows that he likes batting against India. Cook also made his Test debut against India in India and scored a hundred.
