Rinku Singh has emerged as a fan-favorite in 2023. His exploits with the bat on the field, for KKR in IPL 2023 and India in T20Is, and his humbleness and politeness mixed with his down-to-earth nature have made fans lavish huge praise over the 26-year-old from Uttar Pradesh.
Rinku recently starred for India in the 4-1 T20I series win against Australia at home. Second-string teams of both countries met in a 5-T20I series straight after the World Cup 2023, with India clinching the series 4-1.
With his brilliant, calm finishing, Rinku Singh has laid down a strong claim to be selected in India’s T20 World Cup 2024 squad next year in June, though there is still plenty of time left for that and his form in IPL 2024 would be crucial for his selection.
However, at the moment, it seems very likely that Rinku will make it into India’s T20 World Cup 2024 squad. After a sensational IPL 2023 season with KKR, Rinku Singh played a few gems of knocks for India as a finisher. In this series against the Aussies, The left-hander scored 105 runs at a strike rate of 175. He hit 13 fours and 4 sixes in the 60 balls he faced in this series.

While the Indian team was leaving from the Bangalore airport after winning the 5th T20I, Rinku Singh made a sweet gesture for a fan. A fan pleaded with Rinku for an autograph. While Rinku was in a hurry to board his plane, he did take out about 10 seconds to halt and sign an autograph for this fan on a t-shirt, making the day of the fan whose happiness can be understood in his voice.
