Video: Rinku Singh Smashed Naveen-ul-Haq For A Massive 110m Six

Kolkata Knight Riders’ star batter Rinku Singh once again stole the show with his batting heroics as he played a fighting knock of 67* runs against Lucknow Super Giants. Rinku almost pulled a heist for his side however he fell short of just 1 run and his side lost the thriller to LSG.

Asked to bat first, Nicholas Pooran played a stunning knock, smashing 58 runs off just 30 deliveries, including 4 fours and 5 sixes. Prerak Mankad (26) and Quinton de Kock (28) also made valuable contributions with the bat and helped LSG post a competitive total of 176 runs.

In the chase of 177 runs, KKR fell agonizingly short as they managed to score 175 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their 20 overs. Jason Roy (45) also made valuable contributions to the team’s total.

Apart from him, Rinku was once again at his absolute best as he smashed the bowlers of the Lucknow Super Giants to all the corners of the ground. With 41 runs required in the last two overs, chasing 177 runs, Rinku smashed LSG seamer Naveen-ul-Haq for three fours before blasting a length ball over deep mid-wicket for a massive six. The 110-m six is the 2nd highest by an Indian, behind Shivam Dube’s 111-m hit.

It was a crucial knock from Rinku Singh as he batted under pressure with wickets falling at the other end. He played an unbeaten knock of 67 runs off just 33 balls.

Meanwhile, both the skippers were also full of praise for the amazing talent that Rinku is and for what he has done throughout the season.

“Feels like all 14 matches, I’ve spoken about Rinku. I am personally very happy for him (Rinku) and I don’t really have words to describe about him because the entire world has seen what he can do on a cricket field,” said KKR captain Nitish Rana when asked to pick the positives from the season.
