[VIDEO]: Rohit Sharma Absolutely Roasts Amit Mishra

Cricket is about more than simply boundaries and wickets; it’s also about the camaraderie and humorous banter that adds flavour to the game. During a practice session ahead of the third ODI against Australia in Rajkot, Indian cricket skipper Rohit Sharma took this passion to a whole new level.

Rohit’s Re-Entry into the Squad

Rohit Sharma returned to the squad on Wednesday, September 27th, after being rested for the first two games against Australia. His reappearance sparked excitement among fans, who were looking forward to his powerful batting outburst.

Perfect Practise Makes Perfect

As the sun started to drop that fateful evening, Rohit Sharma took off, literally, in his practice session. He left no stone unturned in his pursuit of excellence. The goal of the practice session was not just to get into the rhythm, but also to promote a pleasant mood among the squad.

The teasing begins

Despite the intense preparation, Rohit Sharma had time to speak with the Jio Cinema commentary panel, which includes former leg spinner Amit Mishra. Rohit, who is renowned for his humorous demeanour, couldn’t pass up the chance to participate in some lighthearted banter.

Rohit Sharma went to Amit Mishra with a devilish smile and said, “Why are your eyes so red?” His lighthearted mocking set the tone for what was to come.

Mishra’s Hilarious Reaction

Not one to back down, Amit Mishra said with a smile, “I didn’t sleep last night.” He blamed his red eyes on a lack of sleep, maybe owing to the thrill of being on the commentary panel.

“The kind of commitment you’re showing here, Mishra, I’ve never seen you show on the ground!” Rohit Sharma, never one to miss a chance for levity, remarked. Everyone present laughed at the lighthearted banter.

Rohit’s Form & Performance at the Asia Cup

With India having already won the series 2-0, Rohit Sharma has no additional pressure as he prepares for the last game before the World Cup. This carefree attitude should work in his favour as he attempts to capitalise on his current form.

Rohit Sharma was in spectacular form in the 2023 Asia Cup, slamming three key half-centuries. His outstanding batting skills propelled him to the top of the tournament’s run-scoring charts. This stunning run cements his place as one of India’s top batters.
