Team India’s swashbuckling batsman Rohit Sharma is thrilled to be a part of India’s Test team, once again. Rohit, who didn’t participate in the ODI and T20I series against West Indies, has fully recovered from his surgery and ready to make a comeback to Test cricket.

The first match of the three-match series against between India and Sri Lanka is scheduled to begin on 26th July at Galle Cricket Stadium.

Rohit Sharma, who is ecstatic to don the white jersey again, said that he is feeling great about making a comeback to Test cricket after a long gap of 1 year.

“I know what I have to do as an individual. It is a great feeling of getting back to the whites. The last Test that I played was in October. So, it’s almost been an year,” said Sharma in an interview with bcci.tv.

Rohit also said he would like to stick to his strengths and not worry too much about setting personal goals and benchmarks as it will only put him under pressure.

“I would like to stick to my strengths and the way I have been preparing over the years for Test matches and ODI cricket. I guess setting goals and thinking about benchmarks will only add pressure to your performance when you are out in the middle,” he said.

“I don’t want to add different sorts of pressure about thinking that I have to score runs. I would rather just go out in the middle and try and enjoy the game. I have been doing that ever since I started playing and it’s not going to change,” he added.
