Shahid Afridi is one of the aggressive batsmen in world cricket. On his day, he can take away the match away from the opposition, single-handedly. Afridi is an ‘old-hitter’ and he doesn’t believe in playing unorthodox shots like AB de Villiers, Brendon McCullum and other modern day hitters.

In an ODI match against Sri Lanka in 2013, Shahid Afridi tried to play the helicopter’ shot and it would be fair to say that he failed to get it right. India’s ODI and T20 captain MS Dhoni is inventor of the the helicopter shot and no one plays this shot better than him. Shahid Afridi lost his footing at the point of contact and fell down in a very funny manner. It would be just fair to say that Shahid Afridi’s attempt to play MS Dhoni’s ‘helicopter’ shot wasn’t really ‘Boom Boom’.
