India vs Australia 2017, second Test: Australia’s captain Steve Smith is one of the best fielders in world cricket. Smith is a very versatile fielder who can field at any position on a cricket field. In the ongoing Test match between India and Australia, Steve Smith took an absolute blinder to dismiss India’s opening batsman KL Rahul.
Rahul attempted to play a cover drive off Steve O’Keefe’s bowling, but the ball tuned more than what he had expected and went flying towards first slip, where Steve Smith took an absolute blinder. Smith dived full length towards his right and took one of the best catches of the year so far and surely the best catch of the series.
Smith’s reaction showed that even he himself was very impressed with the effort. Rahul was batting brilliantly for India and scoring freely on a difficult pitch when Smith took the catch. Even in the first innings, Rahul was India’s leading run scorer and his wicket was very crucial for the Aussies. Watch it here:
