“Catches win matches” is an old but true saying. Whenever a fielder takes a spectacular catch, we talk about it for years. We all remember Jhonty Rhodes’ amazing catch in the ICC Cricket World Cup 1999.

These days, the standard of fielding has improved drastically and we get see spectacular catches every now and then. In the recently concluded ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, we saw some of the most unbelievable catches. Martin Guptill’s one-handed stunner in the semi-final against South Africa was an absolute treat to watch and it will remain fresh in the memory of those who saw it for a very long time.

Cricket fan Andrew McCullouch took an absolute blinder on November 11 during a domestic match between the Otago Volts and the Wellington Firebirds in the city of Hamilton. Hamilton was enjoying the match with his friend when the ball came flying towards him and he ran hard and dived forward to take an unbelievable one-handed catch. McCullouch won NZ$ 5,000 for this catch.
