VIDEO: The most destructive knock of Sachin Tendulkar’s career

The crowd were treated to the genius of Sachin Tendulkar, whose first innings of 72 off 27 balls demonstrated the brilliance of his batting, and helped him gain the man of the match award. This is one of the most destructive knocks ever played by Sachin Tendulkar. He batted with a lot of aggression and smashed 72 runs off just 27 balls.

Here’s important to note that there was a designated ‘Max zone’ on the ground behind the bowler, which the batsman could aim for to get the runs counted on that shot doubled. Sachin hit two 8s and one 12-run hit in that area.

It wasn’t the usual ODI match. Before this match, Sachin Tendulkar had never played the format before, but he took time in adjusting to its need and played a very destructive innings. India eventually lost the match by 21 runs after Andre Adams triggered a batting collapse in India’s 2nd innings.

But, the way Sachin batted teared apart the Kiwi bowlers was a great spectacle for the fans. Sachin is regarded as one of the most innovative batsmen in cricket history. From paddle sweep to upper cut, Sachin, throughout his career, tried many new strokes which are now used by cricketer across the world.

We are sure many of you might not have watched this video but it is one of our favourite Sachin Tendulkar videos. The manner in which the Little Master adjusted to a new format was a treat to watch.
