Video: This Is What Rohit Sharma Said When A Journalist Interrupted Him During Press Conference

Rohit Sharma will have a fine chance to extend his captaincy record as he will lead the Men In Blue in the upcoming series between India and Bangladesh, which is all set to kickstart from today. Virat Kohli has been given the much-needed rest and in his absence, Rohit Sharma will be donning the captaincy hat.

The ‘Hitman’ Sharma is in some great form at present, having smashed three centuries including a double ton in the recently-concluded Test series against South Africa. The fans just can’t wait for the opening batsman to make the most of his recent form.

Ahead of the first T20I series, Rohit stated that he has done his homework as he insisted on that Team India needs to improve in the shortest formats of the game. There’s no denying to the fact that India’s performance in T20Is has been inconsistent for a long time and that is the reason behind their position in ICC rankings. Talking about the same, Rohit Sharma said:

“The first priority for us is to win games. And then focus on the rest. We have not had a great run in T20s. We probably are ranked number 5 or 6, if I am not wrong. I think five,”

This is when one of the journalists mistakenly said that India is ranked number two in T20Is before Rohit interrupted him and pointed out that he has done his homework. He said:

No, no. I am pretty sure. I do my homework pretty well. I think we are five, yeah. So that is something that we are really focused on and we want to get that number a little higher. We want to be at the top in all three formats.”
