Rohit Sharma is one of the most elegant and stylish batsmen in the world. He has the gift of timing and often makes batting look easy with his delightful stroke play. In the last 3 years or so, Rohit has taken his batting to a new level altogether and established himself as one of the most destructive batsmen in the world, in limited overs cricket.

VIDEO: This Six By Rohit Sharma Is Pure Class

While most of the big hitters use brutal force to send the ball outside the park, Rohit Sharma does with a lot of style and ‘lazy’ elegance. He is a very strong man and hits the ball a long way but he doesn’t make it look brutal.

Rohit is the only batsmen in the history of the game to score two double hundreds in One Day International (ODI) cricket. And, he also holds the record for highest individual score in ODI cricket– 264.

In the third match of the ongoing series between India and Australia, Rohit Sharna, once again showed why he is called one of the sweetest hitters of the cricket ball. He scored 71 runs off 62 balls and made Australia’s good bowling attack look very ordinary while he lasted on the crease. Rohit smashed 6 fours and 4 massive sixes.

After failing in the first two ODIs, he was under a lot of pressure to score runs and he did exactly that. Chasing a testing total of 294 runs, he batted aggressively at the top of the order with Ajinkya Rahane and kept the scoreboard moving.

During his innings, Rohit Sharma smashed a six off Kane Richardson’s bowling that went outside the stadium. The Mumbai batsman stepped down the wicket and pulled a shortish ball by Richardson outside the Holkar Stadium, in Indore. It was a 103 metres long six and one of the biggest you would ever see.
