Pakistan’s middle-order batsman Umar Akmal scored 34 runs off Yasir Arafat over in a domestic T20 game between Audionic LHR Whites and the Super Asia Rawalpindi. Umar Akmal entertained the crowd at Gaddafi Stadium and scored an unbeaten century to guide his team to victory.
The first four deliveries bowled by Arafat were directed at Akmal’s feet, something that proved to be cannon fodder as far as he was concerned. All of these deliveries were deposited well beyond the mid-wicket fence for massive sixes. The penultimate delivery saw Arafat bang the ball in short and bowl a slower bouncer, something that Akmal turned towards the third-man fence for a boundary.
