While India romped to a convincing victory against the South Africans, a certain Mr. Vijay “I Will Attend Every India Game” Mallya had decided to show up, clad in a white suit. Mallya, whose presence had allegedly been the cause for the Indian team’s departure from a ball, was sticking to his words. He had claimed that he would attend every India match no matter what the media thought and was not afraid of being in the public eye.

When he arrived at the Oval today however, all the Indian fans let their feelings be known by booing him vehemently and chanting, “Chor Chor,” As he made his way to his seats, fans were disgruntled at the former “King of Good Times” businessman.

Mallya owes Indian banks a whopping 9000 Crore thanks to his debt but is seeking refuge in England. The Indian government is in attempting to extradite him and bring him back to the country. Mallya is heavily involved in the game of cricket and was the owner of the Bangalore based IPL cricket team, Royal Challengers Bangalore. The RCB are ironically, captained by Virat Kohli who is the Indian captain presently.

Earlier, Mallya was also ignored by Indian cricketers at a gala dinner organised by Virat Kohli Foundation. It was later reported that nobody from Virat Kohli Foundation invited Mr Mallya.

“Look, Virat or his foundation never invited Mallya at the function. But normally what happens at the charity dinner is that someone who has bought a table is entitled to invite his guests. Similarly, someone who bought a table must have invited him,” a top BCCI source present at the function was quoted as saying.
