Many Indian cricket fans blamed Virat Kohli for absence of Gautam Gambhir from India’s initial squad against New Zealand. But now that he has been picked as a replacement for KL Rahul, we are sure all these rumours will be put to rest.
When Virat Kohli started his international career, Gautam Gambhir was his senior and he had lots of respect for him. They both also represent the same state in Ranji Trophy- Delhi. In fact, when Kohli scored his first ODI hundred, Gambhir was adjudged the man of the match but he presented his trophy to Kohli to motivate him further.
Gautam Gambhir has joined Team India for the practice camp ahead of the second Test at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Indian Cricket Team’s official Facebook page released a video of Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli sharing a light-hearted moment and bonding during a practice camp. Watch it here:
