[VIDEO] Virat Kohli Celebrated Rohit Sharma’s Century Against Afghanistan Like A Kid

Virat Kohli’s homecoming to Delhi turned out to be a memorable one. The Delhi crowd came to witness the madness of Virat Kohli, but they witnessed the powerful performance by Rohit Sharma. He unleashed the beast inside him and smashed a record-breaking knock of 131 runs off just 84 balls against Afghanistan in the 2023 World Cup match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Wednesday, October 11.

Rohit Sharma Played A Record-Breaking Knock

Rohit Sharma humiliated the Afghanistan bowlers as he smashed them to all the corners of the ground. Not only did Rohit smash the Afghan bowlers but he also shattered multiple records during his stellar knock and helped the Indian cricket team register their second win of the ongoing World Cup 2023.

It was a much-awaited century from Rohit’s bat. Coming out to open the innings for team India, Rohit was confident of his power-hitting and he kept the scoreboard ticking against Afghanistan, who surprised everyone with their batting.

Rohit broke multiple records with his match-winning knock. He surpassed the records of legends like Sachin Tendulkar and Kapil Dev with a century against Afghanistan. With his century, the Indian captain has completed 7 centuries in the ICC World Cup which puts him at the top of the list.

Rohit also became the fastest Indian to smash a century in the ICC World Cup as he reached the triple-figure mark in just 63 balls. This record was previously held by legend Kapil Dev for four decades.

Virat Kohli celebrated his captain’s knock

As Rohit Sharma reached his century, everyone present at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi stood on their feet to appreciate Rohit Sharma’s big record. As the cameraman zoomed in on the scenes in the dressing room,

Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli also cheered for him and raised his hands to clap for the Indian captain. He celebrated Rohit’s knock like a kid and after him, other players also stood up and cheered for Hitman. Head coach and legendary player Rahul Dravid also gave Rohit a standing ovation.
