India’s flamboyant all-rounder Hardik Pandya played a big role in the third match of the ongoing One Day International (ODI) series against Australia. He gave a brilliant all-round performance and bagged the man of the match award in the end.

With the ball, Pandya took the crucial wicket of David Warner and bowled his full quota of 10 overs. Pandya plays a genuine fast bowling all-rounder and it is important he bowls his 10 overs in ODI cricket.

But, his best performance came with the bat. He was promoted up the order at number 4 and he did no harm to his reputation by playing a match-winning knock. Pandya scored 78 runs off 72 balls and put India in a very strong position. He took some time initially but once he got his eye in, Hardik batted in his trademark style and smashed Aussie bowlers all around the park.

After the match, Indian captain Virat Kohli posted a video on his social networking accounts, with Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul in the background. Kohli praised Pandya’s innings and said that he has done “bloody well” in two of the three matches. Kohli also said that Pandya was promoted at number 4 and proved the decision right by delivering what was expected from him.

The caption of the video read: “Ladies and gentlemen, here is the man of the moment @hardikpandya7(Also @klrahul11 at the back)????????????
Great win, series clinched???? #NumberOne☝”

Virat Kohli: We are with man of the moment, man of the match. Promoted to number 4, and he delivered. How do you feel?

Hardik Pandya: Feels pretty good and got an opportunity to bat at number 4. *some banter happens between Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul, who was sitting in the background*

Virat Kohli: No, but really good. We are very happy with series one and this guy has done bloody well in two games for us. Superstar!”
