Ravindra Jadeja followed his brilliant bowling performance in the first innings with a good outing with the bat, too. Jadeja picked his 5th five-wicket haul in Test cricket in the first innings and followed it by scoring crucial 50 runs in the second innings to add more depth in India’s total.
Jadeja came in to bat no. 7 and batted aggressively for his 50 runs. Jadeja scored 50 runs off just 58 balls and smashed 3 sixes and 2 fours. Jadeja celebrated his fifty by doing his trademark ‘sword’ celebration which he first unleashed at Lord’s Cricket Ground in a Test match against England.
