Video: When Andrew Symonds allowed two kids to field in a match

Former Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds is one of the most controversial and entertaining characters in the history of cricket. A few years ago, there used to be a All Star vs Australia match in which an all star team of retired cricketers used to play a match against the current Australian XI.

In November 2008, during an exhibition match between these two teams, Andrew Symonds, who was fielding on the boundary, allowed a boy named Tom to take his field. Symonds went outside the rope and pushed Tom inside and he became a part of the game for one ball. After a couple of deliveries, Symonds allowed the other boy (also named Tom) to field as well. And this time, he was even allowed by David Hussey to throw the ball back to the bowler from the boundary line.

The stadium was jam-packed and the crowd made full use of the situation by cheering for both the boys. it was a wonderful gesture from the man to give those two kids one of the most memorable moments of their lives.
