There was a time when Indian cricket fans had a view that Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir don’t get along to well and there is a “cold war” between them after the ugly on-field incident in the Indian Premier League (IPL). But now, after Gambhir was picked in India’s Test team and both of them bonded well during the practice sessions, the view among the fans has changed.
Gambhir and Kohli play for Delhi and before that IPL incident shared good friendship on and off the field. In fact, once Gautam Gambhir gave away his man of the match award to Virat Kohli in an ODI against Sri Lanka.
Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli were involved in a brilliant 224-run stand for the third-wicket partnership. The most impressive part of the ordeal was when Gautam Gambhir requested the Man of the match trophy to be given to Virat Kohli, who had smashed his first ODI ton in the match. Watch it here:
