Ahead of the season, however, there have been intense speculations over Dhoni’s future in CSK. Many fans believe this could be Dhoni’s final season with the Super Kings as he had himself dropped some hints over the same ahead of the side’s last match in the previous season. He had stated that he wants to convey his gratitude to fans across the country, by playing the last match of CSK at their home ground.
MS Dhoni Is Finishing The Games In Style
While there has been no official confirmation of Dhoni’s future with CSK, but the legend has been enjoying his time with the bat in the ongoing 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League.
Dhoni, who had walked out to bat at the no. 8 position, had smashed a six and a four each in the first match of CSK. Dhoni played an unbeaten knock of 14* off 7 balls, as he smashed one four and one six and took the fans down memory lane.
In the 2nd match against Lucknow Super Giants, Dhoni walked in to bat with only five deliveries remaining in the innings. He played a short cameo of 12 off 3 balls, including two brilliant sixes against KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
