Zaheer Khan is arguably India’s best fast bowler ever. At the start of his career, Zaheer was express and his ability to swing the ball at pace made him an instant at the international level. But as he reached the end of his career, Zaheer slowed down on his pace and mastered the art of swing. England’s great fast bowler James Anderson once said that he credits Zaheer Khan for improvement in his reverse-swing. Anderson said that he learnt a lot just by observing Zaheer on the field.
In the video shared below, Zaheer Khan tricks South Africa’s Hashim Amla by bowling just the perfect line and length. Zaheer changed the angle and tempted Hashim to go for the expansive drive. But the ball came back in sharply and castled Hashim Amla’s stumps. Watch it here:
