The stage is set for a perfect decider at Cape Town today. While the hosts would look to avenge the injuries of having lost the ODI series, India would look to end the long tour of South Africa on a high.
Both teams have won one game each and the one that wins today at New Lands will seal the series. In an all important game Virat Kohli will have the big task of choosing his playing XI wisely.
Openers
Rohit Sharma
Shikhar Dhawan
Rohit has not been in the greatest of forms on the tour so far. But team India wouldn’t want to replace him for sure and it’s almost certain that we wouldn’t see any changes here. Shikhar Dhawan is in a fine touch and India would once again rely big on him. It was his heroics which ascertained India’s win in the first game.
Middle Order
One Down: Suresh Raina
Two Down Virat Kohli
Three Down: Manish Pandey
Fourth Down: MS Dhoni
Now after Manish Panday scored big in the last game, there’s no question of him being removed. The middle order is bound to be the same. Like it happened in the first two games, Suresh Raina is again likely to be the number 3 batsman for India.
MS Dhoni too showed great form as he scored his Second T20I half century and hence he’d most probably be batting ahead of Hardik Pandya.
All Rounder
Hardik Pandya
His presence is indispensable. There’s no question of him being replaced at least by someone in the present squad. Hardik Pandya will be playing for sure despite not doing much on this tour.
Bowlers
Yuzvendra Chahal
Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Jaydev Unadakat
Jasprit Bumrah
In the last game Shardul Thakur replaced the injured Jasprit Bumrah. Now India would want Jasprit Bumrah to comeback to the side in this all important game. Bumrah is India’s premiere bowler in limited overs cricket and if he doesn’t comeback to the side then India’s chances would be cut short.
We haven’t heart much about his injury yet but we’d want him to
comeback.
