Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson are two of the best batters in the world and they enjoy a massive fan following across all the playing nations. Both, Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson play the game with utmost passion and dedication and lead their respective nations in the most dignified manner.
In the fifth and final T20I of the recently concluded T20I series that India won 5-0, both the captains-Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson–opted to rest for different reasons. Virat rested to allow other young players or those who didn’t get opportunities to feature in the playing XI, and Williamson had to sit out because of an injury. Rohit Sharma led India in Virat Kohli’s absence, while Tim Southee performed the captain’s duty in place of Williamson.
Although it was a bit disappointing for fans because watching Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson bat is such a big delight for cricket lovers, there was a moment in the match that united cricket fans from across the world, despite the one-sided result.
Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson were spotted sitting behind the boundary rope during the fifth T20I and fans were over the moon after seeing two of the best batters in the world playing ‘water boys’ for their respective sides. We have seen some of the greatest players playing as ’12th man’ but to see Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson in that role was a special moment for their fans.

Never thought I would see a situation where two of the worlds most iconic batsmen (that too from opposite camps) would be sitting outside the boundary laughing, chatting and watching an international game like two wide eyed ball boys! Love it #NZvsIND #kohli #williamson pic.twitter.com/Yrv5NGPhD7

No hatred towards Kane from Kohli for that semi final defeat. No off field rivalry from Kane for getting defeated series in home ground. This is the behaviour and sportsmanship what makes Kohli and Kane Williamson better than others.#NZvIND pic.twitter.com/nppmWMATfi
