England cricket team has leveled the One Day Internationals by beating Indian cricket team by 86 runs in the second match of the tri-series at the mecca of cricket, Lord’s ground.

While the openers, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan went back to pavilion early, without scoring much, on the other hand, the young hitter, KL Rahul was sent back to pavilion with 0 runs. He was caught out by Joss Buttler. The skipper of Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli scored 45 runs.
However, the social media is busy in criticizing MS Dhoni for his slow performance, as he scored 37 runs but in 59 balls. But the skipper of the team has backed MS Dhoni and said that Dhoni wasn’t the only one but everyone in the team had a bad day.

Virat Kohli said that although the start was good but the team lost the track mid-way. He said :
“I think we started off well with the bat, it was a good wicket to play on. Did slow up in the second half but when we lost wickets early, that’s where we lost it a bit. You need wickets in hand during such chases so when you lose early wickets, it’s tough to recover.”

Virat Kohli was asked if the team missed the bowling of Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar during the last overs, talking about which he said:
“These are games where you test the character of the guys, obviously Bumrah and Bhuvi have done it for long but it’s nice to test the character of the guys. Crucial to back the guys ahead.”
He added:
“Those three wickets early on played a massive part. But both Moeen and Rashid sensed the opportunity, they are good bowlers and created pressure. If we hadn’t lost early wickets, we might have been able to attack them more.”

When asked about MS Dhoni’s slow performance, Virat Kohli said :
“This thing comes up whenever he (Dhoni) doesn’t have a good day. People just wait to jump on him. On days when things don’t work, it can happen and immediately, people jump on him. Today was a bad day for all of us, not just him.”
He added :
“Today was a bad day for all of us, not just him. He is experienced and the idea was to take it deep. You don’t want to lose by 150-160 runs.”
We couldn’t agree more to the skipper.
