Virat Kohli becomes the first Indian captain to score a double century away from home

Virat Kohli scored his first double hundred in Test cricket, in the first innings of the first Test of the ongoing series against West Indies. Kohli batted brilliantly and led India to a very strong total in the first innings. It was an innings of class as Kohli showcased a wide variety of strokes and dominated West Indies’ bowling attack.

Virat Kohli makes history

Kohli became the first Indian batsman to score a Test double hundred on West Indian soil. Not only this, he became the first Indian captain to score a double century away from home.

Earlier on day two, Kohli overtook Rahul Dravid’s 146 and secured the highest score by an Indian captain in West Indies. But he wasn’t done there as he rose up to the top of the list before lunch on day two.
