Indian team captain, Virat Kohli is known for his aggression on the field. Although he has now matured a lot, Kohli leaves no chance of downing his opponents with his aggressiveness on the field. He is currently leading India on the tour of New Zealand and it has been a strange tour thus far. First, India blanked New Zealand 5-0 in the T20I series to register a historic win. It seemed like the Men in Blue would not allow the Kiwis to bounce back however, New Zealand won the 3-match ODI series with the scoreline of 3-0.
The winner of this tour was to be decided by the Test series and the home side took a 1-0 lead with an incredible performance in Wellington. They won the Test by 10 wickets. This time though India managed to fight back as they took the crucial first innings lead in the second Test match. Mohammed Shami starred for India with the ball as he scalped 4 wickets. Even Jasprit Bumrah came to the party with 3 key wickets.
Kyle Jamieson’s five-wicket haul had earlier kept the Indian team down to just 242 runs. Since India had been outplayed in this ICC World Test Championship series thus far, the Indian captain, Virat Kohli seemed to have lost his cool when India finally got the upper hand in the first innings of New Zealand. He was very animated on the field and he crossed the limits on many occasions.
It is worth noting that the Indian skipper was all praise for the attitude of New Zealand during the eve of this series. However, given that India was not winning on this tour, he preferred to bring back his aggressive nature.
