Virat Kohli is one batsman who can change the course of a game with his incredible batting. Right from the time he made his debut for the country, Kohli has broken multiple records all over the world. Many are touting him to break the record that Sachin Tendulkar held for most ODI centuries and at the age of 28; he still has so much to offer.

1. Most centuries in ODIs:
Kohli currently stands with 27 centuries in ODI cricket and still has so much more cricket left in him. Sachin holds the record for most centuries with 49, but Kohli just might be the man who can break the record and go past him. As long as an Indian does it even Sachin would not mind that.
Kohli has played 179 ODIs at an average of 53.11 which is much better than Sachin’s average of 44.83.
2. Most successful Indian Test captain:
After taking over the reins from MS Dhoni, Kohli went on to win 16 matches and lost only 3 games as captain of the Test team. Dhoni holds the record with 27 wins but Kohli can break it if they continue their good form abroad.
3. Most hundreds against one team:
With 11 centuries against the Aussies, Kohli could go on to score the most hundreds against a single team. The record currently lies with Sachin, who has 20 centuries against the same opposition but Kohli just might break it.
4. Highest T20I runs:
Kohli has the ability to play all formats of the game and he is also a master of the T20 format. In 48 T20Is, Kohli has managed to score 1709 runs. He will be eyeing the overall record held by Brendon McCullum who has 2140 runs to his name. With his average above 40 in International T20s, Kohli could just about break that record too.
5. Most Man of the Match awards:
Kohli more often than not is the match-winner and takes home most of the plaudits after matches. He could break Sachin’s record of 76 man of the matches. He is currently on 36 but if he continues batting the way he does, he could easily eclipse the great man’s record.
