Virat Kohli’s Full-Record As RCB’s Captain

IT was an emotional moment for the fans as Virat Kohli bowed out as Royal Challengers Bangalore captain from the Indian Premier League. Kohli’s IPL captaincy stint as the ‘captain’ of Royal Challengers Bangalore, spanning 11 seasons, came to an end on Monday.

Well, for the unversed, before the start of the UAE leg, Virat Kohli had announced that he will give up the captaincy duties by the end of this league. On Monday, Virat Kohli played his last match as the ‘captain’ of the franchise, however, failed to end his RCB’s captaincy career on a high note as his team was eliminated from the IPL 2021.




Virat Kohli’s Full-Record As RCB’s Captain

The hopes of winning their maiden cup this year were broken once again after they failed to make it to the next round. Though, Virat has confirmed that he is put to stay with the franchise until the end of this cricketing career. After the match, he reiterated that he would want to stay at Royal Challengers Bangalore as a player till the time he retires from the IPL. However, one won’t see him going out for toss and taking those DRS calls.

Virat Kohli, who has led Royal Challengers Bangalore as the captain in the last 11 years, took over from Daniel Vettori in 2013 as their full-time captain. Kohli has led his team to the final in 2016 but the team has failed to get their hands on the trophy despite possessing some of the biggest cricketing stars in their team.
