Virat Kohli Got Trolled Mercilessly After He Was Dismissed For a Two-Ball Duck

Former India skipper Virat Kohli hit a new low in the ODI cricket in almost a decade as he got out cheaply in the last ODI match against West Indies. Virat Kohli was dismissed for a two-ball duck in the third and final game of the series against West Indies at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli got dismissed by Alzarri Joseph in the third over of India’s innings. While Rohit Sharma was looking to cover-drive the ball on the up, but he didn’t get close to the long ball. Virat Kohli on the other hand got out on the second ball that he faced as he struggles with his form yet again.

Virat was trapped down the leg side as he looked to flick the delivery off Alzarri Joseph past the wicketkeeper, however, the ball got a faint tickle and landed straight into the hands of Shai Hope.

With the dismissal, Virat Kohli ended the ongoing ODI series against West Indies scoring only 26 runs which include scores of 8 off 4 and 18 off 30 respectively in the first two games. For the unversed, it was the second-lowest he has ever scored in the 3-match ODI series. This was also his 15th duck in the format.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli is getting mercilessly trolled on social media after he failed to perform yet again.

Here, check out the reactions of Twitterati to this:

Virat Kohli for the first time in 80 months has failed to register a fifty in an ODI series.

From one century per series to one duck per series. Virat Kohli has came a long way in his career.?? pic.twitter.com/9V3VWWUySx

Virat Kohli needs a long break. Probably some domestic cricket, and definitely not the IPL with its tough schedule, but something that gets the Kohli of Hobart 2012 back. This is just getting sadder and sadder with each innings.

Talking about the game, team India won the toss and opted to bat first in the final clash, however, the Indian side made the worst possible start as they lost both Rohit Sharma and Kohli in the fourth over of the game.

While the Indian side is looking forward to ending the series with a stunning whitewash having won the first two games by 6 wickets and 44 runs, on the other hand, West Indies is playing for their pride after losing the first two games.
