Virat Kohli Has Scored The Most Number Of Runs For India In ICC Knock-Outs

Indian batting maestro, Kohli, who is hailed as the run machine, added another feather to his already glorious hat as he etched his name in the history books. Virat has now scored the most number of runs for the Indian cricket team in the ICC knock-out games.

Kohli achieved this milestone on Day 4 of the ongoing World Test Championship Final 2023 against Australia. Kohli entered the ICC WTC Final 2023 with 620 runs in the ICC knock-out games. He only needed 36 more runs.

On Day 4 he shattered Tendulkar’s long-standing record on the fourth day of the game. Sachin held this record for many years but Kohli has now permanently added his name as the ultimate big game player.

Not just this, Virat reached another milestone by completing 2000 Test runs against Australia. Kohli entered the WTC Final requiring just 21 runs to complete the 2000 run mark against Australia. He scored 14 runs in the 1st innings and reached the 2000-run landmark after scoring seven runs in the second innings.

Kohli has played 25 Test matches against Australia and has scored 2000-plus runs at an average of 47-plus. Virat is just the 5th Indian to complete 2000 runs against Australia in Test cricket.

Virat Kohli, who is playing his 109th Test match, has now raced past 8,400 Test runs at a 48-plus average.
