Virat Kohli Hints Towards Making Changes In Remaining ODIs

After whitewashing Sri Lanka in the three-match Test series, India have sealed the five-match One Day International (ODI) by winning the first three ODIs.

Now that the ODI series is in the bag, India can test their bench strength and make some changes for the remaining matches. Indian captain Virat Kohli hinted towards making some changes in the post-match presentation ceremony after the third ODI.

Kohli said that after winning the first three matches and sealing the series, India can afford to give chances to players who have been warming the bench.

“We have a squad of 15, we’ll look to give some of the other guys a go. Having won the series already, we can afford to give those guys a go,” said Kohli at the post-match presentation after the third ODI.

When asked about crumbling of India’s top order against spin while chasing small targets, this is what Virat Kohli had to say:

“Small targets are always tricky. If it happens to you two or three times, I don’t think it’s an issue. Here the wicket was a bit more challenging.

Virat Kohli was all prasse for young Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who has picked 11 wickets in three games.

“He’s got 11 wickets in three games, he’s bowled really well. Last game he missed out on a five-for, but he got it this time. He’s doing a great job for us,” Kohli added.

OUR VIEW: India will surely try out new combinations in the remaining two matches of the series. Guys like Manish Pandey and Ajinkya Rahane will get a chance to express themselves in the middle. Also, young bowlers like Kuldeep Yadav and Shardul Thakur will also come into play in the next couple of matches.
