Virat Kohli Hits Back At Punjab Kings’ Infamous ‘Shanti’ Tweet

Indian and Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli is one of the most entertaining personalities in the cricket world. He never shies away from giving it back to the opposition. Recently, Virat Kohli gave it back Punjab Kings (PBKS) after winning the game by 6 runs at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

After winning the third consecutive win in the ongoing 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League, Virat took a hilarious dig at the Punjab Kings, who his team defeated in a close thriller. The dig was in a reference to an incident that took place in the first leg of the IPL 2021. After winning a game in Ahmedabad against RCB, Punjab Kings took to their social media and shared a picture of the RCB dugout, which wasn’t in the happiest mood at the time.

Sharing the picture, Punjab Kings trolled RCB by writing “Yahan pe sab Shanti Shanti hai,” , which roughly translates to “Everything is so quiet here.”

At that time RCB had taken it very lightly and had replied: “Because we neither go overboard when we win nor over-analyze a loss.”

However, Punjab Kings received the heat from the RCB fans on social media and they eventually deleted the post.

Now after defeating Punjab Kings in the second leg of the IPL 2021, Kohli was in the dressing room and footage was being recorded by the social media team of RCB. Talking to someone who was recording the video, Virat said that it was good to see the letter ‘Q’ (which stands for qualified to the playoffs) on the side of their name.

While walking outside the dressing room, Virat said: “Bahut Shanti hai aaj’ which means “It’s very peaceful today”.
