Not every cricketer on the planet savors such unparalleled greatness and continues to proliferate with every passing second like the way Kohli has been doing. Not only has he left an indelible mark in international cricket but he has also penned an overtly impressive legacy in the domestic cricket canon, especially Indian Premier League, where he holds the record of being the highest run-scorer before the tournament’s latest edition kicks off and he also holds the record of amassing the highest number of runs in one single season.

Not only are his cricketing figures an exact replica of his exact brilliance but the way his salary has improved over the ages is also a burning testimony to his greatness. Kohli was brought by Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2008 IPL and he still continues to be the solitary player in the glittering span of the tournament to have played for just one franchise. When he started playing at a tender age of just 19 years, RCB splurged Rs 12 lakhs on this youngster.

As time passed by, like the way Kohli started emerging as one of the finest cricketers of all time, his salary started burgeoning too. From a paltry Rs 12 lakhs in 2008, Virat Kohli IPL Salary this year is a staggering Rs 17 crores, which when put to numbers, equates to 141.66 times his initial salary.
