The skipper of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli has found himself rat the receiving end of criticism and trolling after his flopped show in the 1st ODI of the ongoing bilateral series against Australia. He isn’t just getting trolled for his batting performance but for his captaincy as well.

As the game kickstarted, Aaron Finch’s decision of batting first turned out to be a good one. He led the side from the front and scored a century to lay the foundation for a big target. David Warner and Aaron Finch, both the cricketers gave Australia a powerful start by adding 156 runs.

Mohammed Shami gave the much-needed breakthrough to the Indian cricket team as he dismissed David Warner for 69 runs. However, it didn’t bring any relief to the Men in Blue as Aaron Finch formed a formidable partnership with Steve Smith, who walked out to bat in a stunning form. He scored 105 off just 66 balls with the help of 11 fours and four sixes. Before Steve scored his fastest century, Finch went on to score 114 runs.

Maxwell also played a decent cameo of 45 off 19 balls and helped his team give a target of 374 runs to team India.

Later, while chasing the target runs, Team India started the innings on the worst possible note by losing its opener, Mayank Agarwal.

To make things more miserable for India, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli also failed to live up to the expectations and was dismissed by Josh Hazlewood’s delivery caught by Aaron Finch. Virat was dismissed after scoring 21 runs off 21 balls. Following Kohli’s dismissal, the batting line-up of the Indian cricket team collapsed.
