Sanju Samsons made his debut in Indian Premiere League in the year 2013. He is currently playing for Rajasthan Royals in this edition of IPL. Sanju Samsons is one of the very talented players of IPL. Time and again he has justified his position in the IPL by giving some exceptional performances.
In the recent match, that was held on sunday, 15th April between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals. Sanju played a blinder and won the match for his team.
Sanju Samsons astonishing innings not just made him earn the orange cap but also many praises from the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli as well. Virat Kohli rated Sanju as one of the most talented batsman of the country.
Talking about Sanju Samsons, Virat said:
“He’s a talented player. (Samson) has always done well in the IPL. He’s got a good, simple game. He’s strong at the crease and balanced too. He got off to a good start and kept his poise even when our bowlers bowled well. In the end, he was watching the ball and striking really well. He played a really good innings.”
Not just, Virat Kohli but also Shreyas Gopal, the teammate of Sanju Samsons appreciated the batting skills of Sanju. He said:
“He batted really well. We played a couple of practice games in Jaipur and he was hitting the ball really well,”
Shreyas Gopal, had took the two big wickets of Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers in the match, he said:
“The wicket was a little slower than the normal Chinnaswamy wicket. The plan was to bowl a hard length and make it as difficult as possible for them. Getting the wickets of two of the biggest players in the world doesn’t happen every day. It’s a moment that I will always cherish”
