After the news earlier this month of Virat Kohli becoming a father for the second time, there’s a new addition to the Kane Williamson family as well. And this has got the fans swooning over the two modern-day batting greats.
On Wednesday morning, Kane Williamson and his partner Sarah Raheem announced the birth of their third child, a baby girl. The couple who have been together since 2015 now has two daughters and one son.
Williamson made a heartwarming social media post, announcing the arrival of a baby girl, and welcoming her to this world. He held his newborn in his arms, while his wife leaned onto his shoulder and they smiled looking at the infant.
Kane Williamson captioned the post, “And then there was 3. Welcome to the world beautiful Girl. So grateful for your safe arrival and the exciting journey ahead.”
This Instagram post has received over 500k likes and wishes poured in from all corners for Kane and Sarah.

Kane Williamson and Tim Southee set to play their 100th Tests matches in upcoming series

The batting legend Kane Williamson and bowling legend Tim Southee are set to play in their respective 100th Test match in the upcoming home series against Australia.
Both players have featured in 98 Test matches so far in their career, and barring any injury, they will earn their 100th Test together ahead of the second Test against Australia next month in Christchurch. Southee, who is New Zealand’s second-highest wicket-taker, is the current Test skipper, while Williamson is his country’s leading run-scorer.
Among the Kiwi players, only Stephen Fleming, Daniel Vettori, Brendon McCullum, and Ross Taylor have played in 100 Tests so far.
Head coach Gary Stead said: “Their achievements at Test level speak for themselves,. And they are undoubtedly two of the greatest players to have ever worn the New Zealand Test shirt.”
Tim Southee will enter into an even more elite, rare list to become only the fourth player – after Ross Taylor, Virat Kohli, and David Warner – to have played in 100 matches in each of the three formats.
