Royal Challengers Bangalore will be looking forward to ending their trophy drought of 15 years in the lucrative league. Notably, RCB hasn’t won a single season so far in the history of the Indian Premier League.

Meanwhile, at the aforementioned media event, Faf and batting maestro Virat Kohli were sitting together. When Faf was asked about the team’s goal this season. Before responding to the question, Virat whispered something in Faf’s ears. The South African batter then tried stating RCB fans’ slogan, ‘Ee Sala Cup Namde’ which means – ‘This year the cup is ours’.

However, while speaking the slogan, he made a hilarious mistake. Instead of saying Namde, du Plessis said ‘Ee Sala Cup Nahi,’ which made everyone laugh including Kohli.

The video of the same has been going viral on the internet. Watch it here:

Furthermore, du Plessis talked about the ongoing season and stated that he has complete faith in his side. Faf also said that his team has a good chance of winning the tournament this season. He said:

I think we as a team are extremely grateful and we are ready for the season. One thing I can promise you from a player’s perspective is we can take it all the way this time,”

Faf was roped in by Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2022 and took over the captaincy responsibilty after Kohli stepped down from the position. He emerged out as the highest run-getter for the Bangalore-based side, having scored 468 runs.
