Not very soon ago Virat Kohli was the top ranked batsman in T20 cricket. On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah enjoyed the top spot in the ICC T20 rankings for the bowlers. But both, the Indian captain and the best Indian bowler for death overs have now slipped in the ICC T20 rankings.
Virat Kohli has lost his place to explosive Aussies batsman, Aaron Finch while Imad Wasim has taken the top spot in the ICC T20 rankings for bowlers.
Rohit Sharma and Chahal gain
Virat Kohli has slipped in the rankings but Rohit Sharma and Yuzvendra Chahal have gained. KL Rahul also went up in the rankings after two staggering knocks in the T20 series against Sri Lanka. Rohit has gained six spots to take the 14th rank and KL Rahul has scaled 23 places to be at the 5th spot.
Yuzvendra Chahal claimed 8 wickets in the T20 series and reached 16th position after going up by 14 places in the ICC T20 rankings for bowlers. Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav too have gone up to claim the 39th and the 64th position respectively.
