Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli won everyone’s heart with his special gesture for Bangladesh player Mehidy Hasan Miraz moments after their three-wicket win over Bangladesh in the second Test match in Dhaka. The Indian cricket team fought their way back to register a stunning win in the 2nd Test match against Bangladesh in Dhaka.

Chasing a target of 145 runs, the Indian side was on the verge of losing the game after Mehidy Hasan Miraz got a five-wicket haul and dismantled India’s batting line-up. However, India’s spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer rose to the occasion. Both the players stitched an unbeaten 71-run partnership and helped the Indian side register a win by 3 wickets. With this win, the Indian side has managed to whitewash Bangladesh 2-0 in the series.

Virat Kohli Encouraged Mehidy Hasan With A Special Gesture

After the match, Virat Kohli presented a special gift to Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who took a five-wicket haul and almost won the game for his side. Despite the defeat, Kohli encouraged Mehidy Hasan by gifting his jersey to him. After the game, Hasan took to his social media and shared the present he received on Christmas. Sharing the picture of the special video, Mehidy wrote:

“Special souvenir from one of the greatest cricketer(s) Virat Kohli,“

Talking about the game, Mehidy had a memorable Test match as he finished with six wickets. He accounted for the likes of Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Axar Patel, and wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant to put India in a spot of bother at 74/7. However, he couldn’t take his team to an improbable win. Mehidy could have also picked the wicket of R Ashwin but Mominul Haque dropped an easy catch at forward short-leg, which eventually turned out to be costly for Bangladesh’s side as Ashwin counter-attacked with an unbeaten 42.
