Recently, the Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli appeared on an Instagram live with former English captain and his good friend, Kevin Pietersen. Making the most of the 21-day lockdown in India due to the massive coronavirus outbreak, Virat interacted with his fans and followers through Instagram and answered Kevin Pietersen’s questions in the most candid manner.
During the live chat, Kevin Pietersen asked Virat Kohli about his struggle in England in 2014, and the Indian captain gave a brilliant reply.
“I felt like as a batsman, you know you are going to get out in the morning as soon as you wake up. That was the time I felt like that there is no chance I am getting runs. And still to get out of bed and just get dressed for the game and to go out there and go through that, knowing that you will fail, was something that ate me up,” Virat Kohli replied.
Kevin Pietersen also asked the Indian captain to pick between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo and Virat Kohli wasted no time in answering this question.
“I love his (Ronaldo) work ethic and ability to deflect all the crap on the outside,” Virat Kohli said.
Kevin Pietersen also asked Virat Kohli to select his favorite commentator during Instagram live. “Be careful how you answer this, because, this could end badly for you. Your favorite commentator?” Pietersen asked Kohli.
The dashing Indian cricket team captain chose former English captain and one of the sanest voices in the game, Nasser Hussain as his favorite cricket commentator.
“My favorite commentator is (pauses)…it is easy. It is not you, come on. My favorite commentator is (pauses)… Nasser (Hussain),” Virat Kohli replied.
When Kohli took Nasser Hussain’s name, Kevin Pietersen interrupted and said, “That’s perfect. Too long to answer your question. Thank you, me. That is fine. Perfect.”
